Jersey Evening Post
On behalf of Mustard Seed Jersey and the many beneficiaries in the Bihor county of Romania may I thank the Jersey public for their generosity that has made another humanitarian aid consignment possible.
Special thanks go to all those who have supported our Lenten Project of Welcome Boxes for the repatriated victims of people trafficking. We thank the media for their help promoting this project.
Having just sent 12 tonnes of humanitarian aid, we thank each person who has donated either goods or money to pay the costs of transport and all who have supported us in prayer. Grateful thanks to Marcus Sutton of Sutton Transport Services Ltd for his on-going help and support, and to Channel Island Tyre Company . We thank Condorferries Freight for generous discount on the sea crossing to St Malo for the aid trailer. We thank TTS for their help. Our special thanks to Sarl Garage Godard in Brittany for the free use of a tractor unit to pull our aid trailer and to Michel Desmot in St Malo for his help with every trip. We thank the German road tolls BAG for exempting us from paying HGV toll in Germany.
Without the support of islanders this trip would not have been possible. Our continuing thanks to our collection places All Saints Church, St Peters Church, St Marys Church, St Lukes Church and to the volunteers who collect from there, also to Holme Grown Farm Shop for their help on our east of island collection days. We thank our landlords for free use of premises, Vernon Helie and The Seymour Group of Hotels. Continuing thanks are due to the committed groups of volunteers who work in the background to sort, pack and load all the aid.
Working together as a team we can achieve a huge amount to ease suffering and bring hope to the poorest of the poor in Romania. To each who has contributed in any way a very sincere THANK YOU and God bless you.
